SUMMER OUTERWEAR YOU CAN CARRY INTO THE AUTUMN

Outerwear in the Summer? I am sure you are all thinking I am confused however, no, I meant what I said! haha. I’m the type of girl that has a massive love but also a slight hate for summer as I spend the other 3 seasons stuffing my face. Therefore, when summer approaches and I realise my “summer body” isn’t quite ready I run straight to my wardrobe to find very loose clothing that will not bear all!

However, my go to trick/tip for this type of situation is just a lightweight jacket or coat. Something that won’t allow me to get too warm but, still looks “summer-y” all in one. Pair  outerwear with some trendy shorts and it’s the best of both worlds.

Also not to forget living in the UK the weather is unreliable and our summer nights get very chilly so having a light jacket/coat to hand is perfect. Below are my summer outerwear selections for the rest of the summer and also items that you can carry into the autumn season

  1. COAT WITH RUFFLED SLEEVES

As pictured throughout this post this coat is absolutely stunning especially the statement peplum sleeves. My preference would be to pair this coat with denim shorts and a plain tee as I do not want to upstage the coat with any other items. I also added strappy heels to complete the look and adding a bit more femininity to the outfit.

2. SUEDE EFFECT JACKET

This piece got added to my wardrobe pretty much as soon as I laid eyes on it. Simple statement pieces are what I live for and this just did absolutely everything for me. The main thing I adore about this piece is the fact that it is suede and it will add texture to my outfit. I can imagine myself pairing this jacket with a black midi bodycon dress and metallic flat sandals.

3. SUEDE GILET

Now this gilet is way out of my budget however, a girl can dream right? Just picture this with my holy grail espadrilles and Chloe Nile Dupe Bag?! So me isn’t it but it works. The colour is perfect and the sleeveless factor is just what you’d need on a summers day. This outfit is definitely a lunch date must with the girls or your partner.
