If you would’ve asked me around a couple months ago, I would’ve most likely told you that a jumpsuit never has and never will be apart of my wardrobe. The fit of them on my body shape has never been quite right therefore, I would always avoid jumpsuits at all costs. However, to my surprise I now own two well fitted pieces and I cannot get enough of them. At this point you can question how I can possibly state in my blogpost title “If all else fails…” when I’ve only purchased my first two? Well let me tell you my tune has changed in regards to jumpsuits and I was wrong for ever doubting them.
To give you some insight as to why I did not have a very good impression of them also very much came down to material and quality. (P.S. Here is where the tangent begins)
I never paid much attention to the quality of clothing growing up which explains my ridiculous wardrobe of clothes that I see whenever I go back to my old wardrobe at home. Over the years of reading my favourite blogs one main message has been very clear to me throughout my entire process of finding “my style” and that is quality over quantity. Eventhough, staying on trend is important, having quality basic clothing and staple items play a bit part in any wardrobe. Now for my first jumpsuit I was completely drawn to it by the colour and the cut of the item. I literally fell in love and you can find pictured – HERE
When opting for this jumpsuit pictured throughout this post I had many occasions in mind that I could wear this piece and the different ways it can be styled. The ruffles add subtle femininity to the piece whilst remaining classy and well fitting to my body. I chose to pair this with an off the shoulder top with long sleeves – very different for me but I loved the way it looked.
